Africa-Press – South-Sudan. <\/strong><\/span>Sudanese refugees who fled to the Jagarba Refugee Camp in Chad have raised concerns about the deteriorating health conditions of their members amid rising cases of malnutrition, eye infections, and diarrhea among children among other ailments.<\/p>\n

A refugee who spoke on condition of anonymity told Radio Tamazuj Monday that his child has been suffering from severe malnutrition for some time and has not received support from any of the organizations working in the camp.<\/p>\n

\u201cWe fled from our home to Chad after the war broke out between the army and the Rapid Support Forces (RSF). When we arrived at the Chadian camp in Tine, we were not provided with medicine,\u201d he narrates.<\/p>\n

He also said that pregnant women also lack health care and food.<\/p>\n

Another refugee, Amnan Abdullah, who is six months pregnant, says that she is suffering from malnutrition and there is no food to eat except porridge.<\/p>\n

For her part, Fatima Haroun, who fled Zalingei in Central Darfur, stated that she is sick and suffering from abdominal and body pain.<\/p>\n

\u201cI am suffering from severe pain in my whole body which makes my movement slow,\u201d she said while calling on aid agencies to intervene and help refugee women in Chad.<\/p>\n

Meanwhile, Abdullah Ibrahim who fled from the Hasahisa camp for displaced people in Central Darfur to Chad, confirmed that life is very difficult and said that during their journey to Chad, their belongings were looted and they were subjected to violations by the RSF.<\/p>\n

He called on the Chadian authorities and organizations to provide humanitarian support to the refugees expeditiously.<\/p>\n
