Africa-Press – South-Sudan. <\/strong><\/span>The Governor of the Nile River State, Mohammed Al-Badawi Abdel-Majid, threatened and asked the leaders and members of the Forces of Freedom and Change (FFC) and the resistance committees to leave his jurisdiction within 72 hours.<\/p>\n

Towns of the Nile River State are witnessing a general alert by the army and political leaders and the general public is being armed in preparation for a possible attack by the Rapid Support Forces (RSF).<\/p>\n

Addressing volunteers and mobilizers during a political gathering in Shendi Stadium on Saturday, Governor Abdel-Majid stressed the need for the leaders of the Forces of Freedom and Change to leave the state.<\/p>\n

\u201cI am sending a message to every traitor, agent, fifth columnist, and any FFC members in this country, It is best to leave before the next three days,\u201d he declared.<\/p>\n

In a statement extended to Radio Tamazuj on Sunday, the FFC said that the governor\u2019s threats came in the context of the campaign that included the arrest of dozens of activists in the states of Sennar, Gedaref, and the Nile River.<\/p>\n

The leader of the FFC in Nile River State, Sharif Al-Hamdabi, told this publication that instead of the governor protecting citizens and their property, he directed his speech to the revolutionary forces.<\/p>\n

\u201cThe position he (governor) holds is an administrative position that does not entitle him to expel anyone from their land,\u201d he said.<\/p>\n
