Africa-Press – South-Sudan. <\/strong><\/span>The Governor of Warrap State has refused to work in the office of his predecessors within a ministry building and set up a cabinet office under a Mahogany tree until the construction of the new office is completed.<\/p>\n

This is according to William Wol Mayom, the State\u2019s Minister of Information and Communication.<\/p>\n

Wol says the former governors had operated from the Ministry of Corporative, a culture Governor Koul Muor Muor seeks to change.<\/p>\n

According to Wol, Governor Col. Koul Muor Muor has moved to where land was allocated in 2006, but it has not been developed.<\/p>\n

The governor has now decided to discharge his duties from under the tree until a secretariat is built in the next six months.<\/p>\n

He says, a construction company has arrived in the state to commence the project of the State governor\u2019s office.<\/p>\n

In the meantime, the Council of Ministers will conduct a meeting under the tree.<\/p>\n

\u201cToday, the governor of Warrap State assumed his office at Kuajok, the open space Council of Ministers that was surveyed years back since 2006 and it has never been constructed,\u201d Wol said.<\/p>\n

\u201cHe had declared when he arrived at Kuajok public rally at the freedom square that he is not going to assume any ministry office because what has been actually in Kuajok or Warrap State is the ministry of cooperative and has been given to the Council of Ministers,\u201d he said.<\/p>\n

\u201cHe has declared that he is going to assume his office under the Mahogany tree, the Council of Ministers that was allotted to the government since 2006 and today he has implemented it.<\/p>\n

\u201cHe is now under the tree and the Council of Ministers is transferred or relocated to the original land\u201d.<\/p>\n

Photos seen by Eye Radio showed government officials cleaning the area.<\/p>\n
