Africa-Press – South-Sudan. <\/strong><\/span>A university student who developed a mobile application to help Primary eight candidates access their results online has appealed to the Ministry of General Education to buy his idea.<\/p>\n

Khamis Cons Christopher a graduate of Bachelor of Computer Science at the University of Juba is currently pursuing his Master\u2019s in Business Administration specializing in Project Management.<\/p>\n

He started what he calls PLC Results Apps in 2020, aimed to transform and digitalize the country\u2019s primary eight results.<\/p>\n

The Apps bears the logo of the Ministry of General Education and Instruction at the top and below it is a search button to display student results.<\/p>\n

The interface of the application also contains a text box for typing a student\u2019s index number to search for the results.<\/p>\n

Christopher explains what motivated him to develop the App.<\/p>\n

\u201cInitially when examination results are out, the results are sent to the centres and then school children or their parents had to go physically to the centre where these children sat for their examinations to check the examination results,\u201d Christopher said.<\/p>\n

\u2018With the mobile application which has been developed, a parent or a child can access his or her examination results anywhere, any time, provided he or she is connected to the internet.\u201d<\/p>\n

Christopher has appealed to the Ministry of General Education to buy his idea saying he is willing to hand over the application to the administration.<\/p>\n

\u201cI finalized the development of this application at the time when people were on holidays between the 24-31 of December,\u201d Christopher said.<\/p>\n

\u201cNext week I will meet with the relevant authority in the Ministry of Education. If the Ministry buys the idea and maybe they want to take the whole idea for themselves,\u201d he said.<\/p>\n

\u201cI will be able to hand the whole idea to them. I will develop the database, and upload the database to their server.\u201d<\/p>\n
