Africa-Press – South-Sudan. <\/strong><\/span>The governor of Central Equatoria State, Emmanuel Adil, urged the state government officials to embrace the spirit of collegiality regardless of their political affiliations and consolidate peace, security, and stability in the state.<\/p>\n According to the office of the governor, addressing the state cabinet meeting, Adil directed the officials to start the revival of the economy by creating a conducive environment for the farmers to embark on agriculture.<\/p>\n \u201cThe government is committed to accelerating the return of the people from the neighbouring countries to their ancestral lands ahead of the 2024 general elections, given the prevailing relative peace in the country,\u201d he said.<\/p>\n \u201cIt is worth mentioning that this is the first-ever meeting of the year since the top authority resumed his gubernatorial duties at the onset of this year with renewed momentum towards delivering tangible social services to the people across the state,\u201d Adil said.<\/p>\n In addition, the state government spokesperson, Andruga Mabe, said the cabinet discussed the progress made by the state government last year and called on the government to work hard for peace in the state.<\/p>\n \u201cThe cabinet elaborates on the achievements of last year and agrees that this year is the year of hard work and peace, as the state believes in peace,\u201d he said.<\/p>\n \u201cLet us live the past as bygones.
