Africa-Press – South-Sudan. <\/strong><\/span>The flood-prone Jonglei State embarked on the construction of internal roads in Bor Municipal Council.<\/p>\n According to the statement seen by The City Review, the Mayor of Bor Municipal Council, John Matiop, said the state is committed to connecting all areas within the headquarters as per the infrastructural plan.<\/p>\n Matiop said the ARC (construction) company had completed some roads within the area and would continue to do more work as planned.<\/p>\n \u201cThe ARC workers or road crew completed the following areas of the road within the town today: (from) Radio Jonglei 95.9 FM road to Panda Market Road, from Block \u201cM\u201d junction road through Panda Market to Block \u201c5\u201d junction road,\u201d Matiop said.<\/p>\n He added that the construction company would continue to construct and improve roads within the blocks (areas) with the hope of ensuring that the town is connected and transport is made easier for the residents.<\/p>\n \u201cThe ARC workers will start with the following, as indicated below: Block \u201c6\u201d road and Block \u201c5\u201d road, Marol Road to Ajang John Police Road, then from there to Leudier Road,\u201d he said.<\/p>\n The mayor said the construction crews are working diligently to complete the work as quickly as possible.<\/p>\n He called on Jonglei residents to cooperate with the road workers, adding that all roads within the state would be completed.<\/p>\n \u201cI urge everyone to be patient; all the remaining roads in our town will be levelled and constructed,\u201d he said.<\/p>\n He appreciated the ARC company for its commitment to ensuring that infrastructure is improved in Jonglei State and South Sudan at large.<\/p>\n \u201cIt is my privilege to appreciate the ARC team.
