Africa-Press – South-Sudan. <\/strong><\/span>President Salva Kiir Mayardit has arrived in the Ugandan capital, Kampala, to participate in three significant regional and international summits, as confirmed by his office.<\/p>\n

The three summits include the IGAD Heads of State Meeting scheduled for tomorrow, January 18, the Non-Aligned Movement summit, and the G77+China Heads of State Meeting.<\/p>\n

\u201cPresident Salva Kiir Mayardit on Wednesday arrived in the Ugandan capital, Kampala, to attend the summits of Non-Aligned Movement, G77+China, and IGAD Heads of State meeting,\u201d the presidency said in a statement today.<\/p>\n

The arrival was marked by a welcome from the Ugandan Minister of State for Foreign Affairs in-charge of Regional Cooperation, John Mulimba, and South Sudan\u2019s Ambassador to Uganda, Simon Juach, alongside embassy officials.<\/p>\n

The statement highlighted that President Kiir will not only participate in the formal sessions of the summits but will also engage in crucial sideline meetings.<\/p>\n

Additionally, he will hold discussions aimed at reinforcing ties between South Sudan and other participating nations.<\/p>\n
