Africa-Press – South-Sudan. <\/strong><\/span>Governor Manytuil on Wednesday paid an inspection visit to Tharjath-Mirmir roads construction in Koch County, Unity State [Photo: Courtesy]<\/b><\/p>\n The government of Unity State kicked off-road construction to enhance the mobility of goods and services to the locals in the state.<\/p>\n In an interview with The City Review on Thursday, Gai Jiek Jor, Unity State\u2019s Information Minister, said the state government expects new development in the state in 2024.<\/p>\n \u201cThe state development under the leadership of H.E Dr. Joseph Manytuil has just started as the governor paid a visit to the roads connecting the Unity headquarters, which is Bentiu town, to the southern part of Unity State. That\u2019s to say, Koch, Mayendit and Leer consecutively,\u201d he said.<\/p>\n He said the reconstruction of Tharjath-Mirmir roads is in progress, adding that the state government is committed to renovating all the roads connecting counties to the state.<\/p>\n \u201cAs a government of the state, we are in a position to make sure that the road construction to the counties is fully connected to headquarters. And this was our priority as the state government to do in the first place,\u201d he stated.<\/p>\n Jor noted that the state government is increasing its efforts in ensuring road network connectivity in the state as most roads were washed away by flood.<\/p>\n \u201cThis is a project that involves all the construction of the roads in seven counties within Unity State.
