Africa-Press – South-Sudan. <\/strong><\/span>The national Deputy Speaker is urging the unity government to prioritize the resolution of persistent conflicts related to tribal and border disputes including that between Ngok dinka and Twic.<\/p>\n

Oyet Nathaniel says disputes on tribal boundaries are almost everywhere in South Sudan.<\/p>\n

Nathaniel says that the Abyei scenario is now a hot issue that shifting its dimension from the external boundary tension to the internal boundary disputes.<\/p>\n

\u201cWhat is now arising is the internal boundaries, which means the question in Abyei now is taking another different dimension; the external boundaries are still outstanding, and the internal boundaries are now the hot issue.<\/p>\n

Nathaniel suggests that elders from both communities should intervene in the resolution of the deadly conflict.<\/p>\n

He also emphasized the need to address conflicts arising from border issues in other parts of the country.<\/p>\n

\u201cAm emphasizing this so that the government focuses on the resolution of the conflicts and disputes between the Ngok and Twic Dinka….we have almost everywhere in South Sudan,\u201d he said.<\/p>\n

He made these remarks during a reception for the body of the late colleague MP Arop Madut in Juba over the weekend.<\/p>\n
