Africa-Press – South-Sudan. <\/strong><\/span>Central Equatoria Governor Emmanuel Adil Anthony has directed Wonduruba Administrative Payam Coordinator Towong Stephen Michael to redouble efforts towards restoring total security and stability in the area.<\/p>\n

Governor Anthony issued the directive during a meeting with a team from Wonduruba, led by Coordinator Michael and Bishop Mathew Taban of the Wonduruba Diocese, at the State Government General Secretariat.<\/p>\n

Speaking to the press after the meeting, Coordinator Michael confirmed that they briefed the leadership on various issues, including the current state of healthcare facilities, education, road infrastructure, and the dire humanitarian situation of internally displaced persons (IDPs) following a recent crisis in the area.<\/p>\n

He also raised concerns about the presence of cattle herders, which has become a security threat. Michael called for \u201cmore robust efforts\u201d from the state leadership to address the issue.<\/p>\n

\u201cThis conflict often arises due to disputes over land use and resources. It is important for local authorities to intervene and find a peaceful resolution to ensure the safety and well-being of both parties involved,\u201d he said.<\/p>\n

\u201cCollaboration and dialogue between the farmers and herders can help in addressing the root causes of the conflict and finding sustainable solutions for coexistence,\u201d he added.<\/p>\n

Governor Anthony\u2019s directive highlights the ongoing security challenges in Central Equatoria and the need for collaborative efforts to restore stability and address the root causes of conflict.<\/p>\n

By working together, local authorities, community leaders, and state officials can create a safer and more secure environment for all residents of Wonduruba.<\/p>\n
