Africa-Press – South-Sudan. <\/strong><\/span>The Government of South Kordofan State in Sudan on Thursday announced the receipt of medical equipment and supplies for kidney dialysis centers across the state.<\/p>\n

Batoul Suleiman Aldoud, the Director General of the Ministry of Health and Social Development in the state, confirmed the delivery of the equipment in a press statement seen by Radio Tamazuj.<\/p>\n

\u201cToday (Thursday), we received the supplies for kidney patients in the state which are expected to meet the needs of dialysis centers and patients for two months,\u201d the statement read in part. \u201cThese supplies will significantly contribute to providing dialysis services to kidney patients in the state.\u201d<\/p>\n

Suleiman also reiterated her ministry\u2019s efforts to continue providing more equipment and necessities, in addition to other supplies for the blood bank and oxygen supplies, regarding them as crucial.<\/p>\n

Meanwhile, South Kordofan State Governor Mohamed Ibrahim Abdelkarim confirmed that the supplies received by the state are sufficient to meet the needs of kidney patients, emphasizing the importance of joint efforts to bring in the remaining supplies from the White Nile State.<\/p>\n

\u201cAll the dialysis centers are now operating excellently and I urge patients to visit them to continue their treatment and alleviate their suffering,\u201d he stated.<\/p>\n

Earlier, kidney patients in South Kordofan State complained of a severe shortage of supplies, leading to some of them leaving for other states to receive treatment.<\/p>\n
