Africa-Press – South-Sudan. <\/strong><\/span>Warrap State Governor Kuol Muor Muor has received more than 50 firearms in an ongoing disarmament campaign.<\/p>\n

The weapons were surrendered by the head of disarmament forces in Monyjang Village, Gogrial West County.<\/p>\n

Governor Kuol praised the South Sudan People\u2019s Defense Force (SSPDF) for its role in the effort.<\/p>\n

\u201cI appreciated South Sudan People\u2019s Defense Force (SSPDF) commanders for their crucial efforts, and I urged them to continue their tasks to make sure the permanent peace prevails in Warrap State and beyond,\u201d he said.<\/p>\n

For his part, SSPDF disarmament commander Brig. Gen. Anthony Nhomcot noted the cooperation with the governor.<\/p>\n

\u201cI appreciated the Governor for his endless cooperation and support to the disarmament forces as a result of the current peace in Monyjang Village,\u201d he said, reiterating his commitment to lasting peace in Warrap State.<\/p>\n

The firearms were collected peacefully in Gogrial West County between the Aguok and Kuac communities.<\/p>\n
