Africa-Press – South-Sudan. <\/strong><\/span>At least 342 cows have been raided by armed youths, believed to be from the Jalwau community of Tonj, Warrap State, from Cueibet County in Lakes State.<\/p>\n

Lakes State Police Spokesperson Maj. Elijah Mabor Makuac told Sudans Post yesterday that the security situation in Lakes State is generally normal, but some incidents have been registered.<\/p>\n

\u201cAttackers came and raided about 280 cattle plus 62 calves in a grazing field in a place called Apirhnom and Wong-Kuot in Cueibet County, Lakes State,\u201d he said.<\/p>\n

He added that there were no human casualties during the attack.<\/p>\n

\u201cI would like to repeatedly advise them to continue working with the other parts of Lakes State so that the criminals disturbing the security and peace along the border of these two sisterly states are apprehended and brought to justice,\u201d he said.<\/p>\n

When contacted by Sudans Post, Warrap State information minister William Wol Mayom said \u201cwe have not received any complaint from the Lakes State government.\u201d<\/p>\n
