{"id":59384,"date":"2024-06-02T11:16:10","date_gmt":"2024-06-02T11:16:10","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.africa-press.net\/south-sudan\/all-news\/cabinet-passes-amended-youth-development-policy"},"modified":"2024-06-02T11:51:42","modified_gmt":"2024-06-02T11:51:42","slug":"cabinet-passes-amended-youth-development-policy","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.africa-press.net\/south-sudan\/all-news\/cabinet-passes-amended-youth-development-policy","title":{"rendered":"Cabinet passes amended youth development policy"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><span style=\"color: #ff6600\"><strong>Africa-Press &#8211; South-Sudan. <\/strong><\/span>The National Council of Ministers passed the amended National Youth Development Policy 2024, a framework to address youth development across all sectors.<\/p>\n<p>The policy framework was tabled by the National Minister of Youth and Sports Joseph Geng Akech to the cabinet on Friday.<\/p>\n<p>Deputy Information Minister Jacob Korok said the amended policy is to promote a conducive environment for youth empowerment and development and to foster youth\u2019s participation in decisions making.<\/p>\n<p>He added that the policy is to also to allow youths to freely participate in economically, politically and spiritually to benefit from the country resources.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cThe overall objective of the policy is to contribute towards attainment of peaceful and prosperous South Sudan where the young men and women fully develop their potential without discrimination, violence and abuse,\u201d Korok said.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cThe youths can freely participate in economic, political and spiritual life to benefit from the country resources.
