Africa-Press – South-Sudan. <\/strong><\/span>South Sudan\u2019s First Vice President Dr. Riek Machar Teny has been urged by a Juba-based advocacy group to replace health minister Elizabeth Achuei who has been described by many as \u2018incompetent\u2019 after lawmakers booed him for speaking unofficial and broken English.<\/p>\n

Last week, lawmakers booed Achuei for speaking in unofficial terms. Recorded speech continued to make headlines on social media with many activists urging Machar to replace the minister for showing incompetence to communicate with stakeholders.<\/p>\n

In a statement, the Center for Peace and Advocacy (CPA) urged First Vice President Machar\u2019s SPLM-IO to replace Achuei because, according to the CPA, the minister has failed to proof herself fit to handle the position.<\/p>\n

\u201cThe Rights group, the Center for Peace and Advocacy (CPA) has called on the leadership of the Sudan People\u2019s Liberation Movement-In- Opposition (SPLM-IO) led by the First Vice President, Dr. Riek Machar Teny to remove Minister of Health Hon: Elizabeth Achuei, who was appointed through the ticket of SPLM \/A-IO in the Revitalized Transitional Government of National Unity (RTGoNU),\u201d the CPA said in a statement.<\/p>\n

\u201cHon: Elizabeth Achuei failing to proof herself to demonstrate her incompetency at a time she was required by the lawmakers to do so. She can\u2019t pronounce a simple word in English which is an official language in the country,\u201d the statement added.<\/p>\n

The group said it is \u201cdeeply concerned about the Minister of Health who does not make any reform according to the R-ARCSS 1.2.7 to carry out radical reforms and transformation of public accountability and transparency in the leadership.\u201d<\/p>\n

It further warned \u201cthe incumbent TGoNU, SPLM\/A-IO, SSOA, FDs and Opp of bringing incompetence leaders who can\u2019t meet the expectations of the South Sudan during the implementation of R-ARCSS.\u201d<\/p>\n

\u201cRevitalized Agreement on the Resolution of the Conflict in the Republic of South Sudan (R-ARCSS) is talking about the institutional reforms in which is supposed to be reflected in the section of the representatives according the R-ARCSS,\u201d it adds.<\/p>\n

\u201cWe believe citizen deserves competent leader who can informed that\u2019s grounded in science and truth, and analysis rooted in authority and integrity.<\/p>\n
