The coordinator of Northern Bahr el Ghazal state, Aluong Matem noted in a statement that Governor Uber made this appeal during his first meeting on Saturday at the state Coordination office in Juba.<\/p>\n
\u201cThe Governor of Northern Bahr el Ghazal state Simon Uber chaired his first-ever meeting with state ministers, MPs, and Members of independent commissions, coordination staffs… in Juba on Saturday, a step toward officially assuming his duties,\u201d Matem noted in a statement.<\/p>\n
According to Matem, Governor Uber Called for peace and unity while urging state officials to work together to provide services to the people in the state.<\/p>\n
\u201cGovernor Uber Mawut reiterated his calls for peace and unity among the people and urged the state government constitutional post holders to work hand in hand to deliver positive change for all people of Northern Bahr El Ghazal state,\u201d he added.<\/p>\n
Matem further noted that Governor Uber stressed the importance of cooperation with all state organs.<\/p>\n
\u201cHe (Governor) emphasised togetherness and cooperation with all the government branches including the executive, legislature, and judiciary,\u201d Matem noted.<\/p>\n
However, Mr Matem told The City Review over the phone on Sunday that the governor would travel to Northern Bahr el Ghazal State after being sworn in as Sudan People\u2019s Liberation Movement (SPLM) state chairperson.<\/p>\n
\u201cHe (Governor) will be first sworn in as the SPLM state chairperson and after that, he will go to the Northern Bahr el Ghazal state,\u201d Matem said.<\/p>\n
\u201cHe has a lot of things to do in the state. That is why he wanted to wait and after that, he would go and stay in the state to deal with issues facing people on the ground,\u201d he added.<\/p>\n
Uber told the Aweil community during a reception ceremony held at a residential area in Giada headquarters that his administration would prioritize food security, unity, and security in the state after taking office.<\/p>\n
\u201cI am going to the state with three things: Unity, Food Security, and the Security of the citizens. I would not achieve them without your support as people of Northern Bahr el Ghazal State,\u201d Uber said, as quoted by The City Review last week.<\/p>\n
