This comes in a crucial address marking the 14th anniversary of independence.<\/p>\n

Speaking to The City Review Wednesday, urged both the government of national unity and opposition factions to prioritise national interests over personal and political gains.<\/p>\n

\u201cThe ongoing economic crisis has inflicted severe hardships on our nation,\u201d the director stated. \u201cCivil servants have gone without pay for nine months, families are torn apart, and even our security sector faces challenges as soldiers seek alternative livelihoods.\u201d<\/p>\n

Pointing to the importance of the ongoing Tumaini Initiative, Yakani emphasised the need for inclusivity and called for an immediate intra-party dialogue involving all stakeholders to chart a path towards a successful political transition.<\/p>\n

\u201cThe time for decisive action is now,\u201d he asserted. \u201cWe cannot afford to repeat the failures of the past decade. It is imperative that our leaders show unity and resolve in paving the way for peace and stability.\u201d<\/p>\n

The director\u2019s message resonates with recent statements by the president and opposition leaders under the Tumaini initiative, signaling a glimmer of hope for a consensus-driven approach.<\/p>\n

\u201cAs citizens, we must hold our leaders accountable,\u201d he concluded.<\/p>\n

\u201cTogether, we can ensure that this dialogue leads to tangible progress and a brighter future for South Sudan.\u201d<\/p>\n
