Africa-Press – South-Sudan. <\/strong><\/span>Gola Boyoi Gola, the chief administrator of the Greater Pibor Administrative Area (GPAA), has issued decrees reshuffling some county commissioners and establishing new commissions in his government.<\/p>\n

The changes were announced on the local broadcaster, Pibor 90.3 FM on Thursday evening.<\/p>\n

In one of the decrees, Gola sacked Chacha Oleyo Ibon and David Giro Ading as the commissioners of Gumuruk and Pibor counties, respectively. John Gola Nyamaji was announced as Chacha\u2019s replacement while Peter Kuzuz Ngangok took over as the new Verthet County commissioner.<\/p>\n

Kuzuz Ngangok who was the Deputy Mayor for Administration and Finance in Pibor Town Council was appointed a commissioner, however, no one was announced to replace him.<\/p>\n

In separate decrees, Gola also established new commissions in his government:<\/p>\n

GPAA Information Minister Oleyo Akwer Nyalus confirmed the changes in an interview with Radio Tamazuj and said they were administrative.<\/p>\n

\u201cThe sacking of the commissioners of Gumuruk and Verthet counties and announcement of their replacements are administrative and it is government prerogative to appoint or dismiss,\u201d he stated.<\/p>\n

Asked about unequal ethnic representation in the recent appointments and the entire GPAA government, Minister Akwer said there are about two to three Anyuak appointees in these recent appointments, including as head of a commission.<\/p>\n

\u201cFor the Jie and Kachipo, they have not been left out deliberately and more appointments have yet to be announced,\u201d he added.<\/p>\n
