Africa-Press – South-Sudan. <\/strong><\/span>Deputy Minister for Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation Semaya Kumba has called on Turkish state-owned and private enterprises to invest in South Sudan.<\/p>\n

In his key address during the celebration of the 101st anniversary of Republic Day of Tu\u0308rkiye on Wednesday night in Juba, Kumba encouraged the Turks to invest in agriculture, tourism, fisheries, mining, education, banking and infrastructural development.<\/p>\n

\u201cWe encourage both state-owned and private enterprises in Tu\u0308rkiye to consider investing in South Sudan in in agriculture, tourism, fisheries, mining, education, banking and infrastructural development, among others,\u201d said Kumba.<\/p>\n

He added: \u201cIt is my strong belief that Turkey\u2019s government and people are fully aware of our efforts to meet the needs of our people and to build our nation. We look forward to continuing Tu\u0308rkiye\u2019s support in different fields of our endeavor.\u201d<\/p>\n

Turkish Ambassador to South Sudan Erdem Mutaf reiterated his government\u2019s commitment to maintaining their unwavering support to the peace process.<\/p>\n

\u201cDuring my tenure, we tried to support the Republic of South Sudan and her people in many ways, mostly in humanitarian and capacity-building fields at national and state, even payam levels,\u201d he said.<\/p>\n

\u201cWe will maintain our unwavering support in many fields, as well as to the peace process in the coming period as well,\u201d Mutaf added.<\/p>\n
