Africa-Press – South-Sudan. <\/strong><\/span>South Sudan government has announced that it is working hard to bring to justice the criminals who attacked Baidit of Jonglei state last month in which around 35 people \u2013 including women and children \u2013 were killed.<\/p>\n

Speaking during a memorial function organized for the souls of the victims of last month\u2019s attack, information minister Michael Makuei Lueth, who also doubles as the national government spokesman, urged the [people of Jonglei to remain calm until the government is arrest the criminals.<\/p>\n

\u201cThe National Minister of Information Communication Technology and Postal Services, Michael Makuei Lueth affirmed that the Government is working hard to apprehend Baidit attackers,\u201d the ministry of information said in a statement seen by Sudans Post.<\/p>\n

\u201cMinister Michael Makuei calls on the people of Jonglei state to remain calm as the Government is working to address the security concern in the area,\u201d the statement published on the ministry\u2019s Facebook page, added.<\/p>\n

The statement further quoted the information minister as saying that the criminals who attacked Baidit \u201ctook all the cattle and burnt some of the houses to ashes.\u201d<\/p>\n

For his part, Jonglei state deputy governor Antipas Nyok assured the citizens that the state government is commitment to provide measures that could avoid such incident in future.<\/p>\n

He further added that there is need for national and international humanitarian organizations to support the devastated citizens of Baidit area in Jonglei state.<\/p>\n
