Also attending were development stakeholders and government representatives, who met in Dar es Salaam to discuss and promote youth participation in national development, democratic governance, peace, and social well-being.
Speaking during the historic launch of the Youth Manifesto 2025/2030, the Youth Agenda Representative, Joseph Malekela, said the manifesto represents the hopes, dreams, and needs of Tanzanian youth. He explained that the document has been prepared with careful consideration of the challenges and aspirations that youth face in the next five years.
On his part, the Youth Agenda Coordinator, Ocheck Msuva, stated that the manifesto has been crafted to include all categories of young people in the country, by outlining targeted strategies (referred to as “nukta nundu”) aimed at reaching every group without leaving anyone behind.
Youth who attended the launch, including Elisha Emanuel and Neema Yusuph, expressed their appreciation for the inclusive nature of the manifesto, which addresses the needs of all youth, including those with disabilities.
