Africa-Press – Tanzania. THE Alliance for Africa Farmers Party (AAFP) officially launched its presidential campaign yesterday in Morogoro, with presidential candidate Kunje Ngombale Mwiru outlining a bold vision for a transformed and action-oriented Tanzania.

Addressing an enthusiastic crowd, Mr Mwiru pledged to lead what he described as “serikali ya mchakamchaka” a 24-hour government of action, focused on tackling unemployment and ensuring inclusive national development.

“My government will be full throttle to end complaints about joblessness,” he declared, adding “We need patriotic citizens who are ready to build this nation together.” Mr Mwiru said that farmers will be the backbone of his administration’s economic strategy.

He also highlighted plans to support livestock keepers through improved infrastructure and peaceful coexistence between pastoralists and crop farmers. “The farmer will be given priority,” he said.

“The pastoralist must be provided with a clear system and infrastructure to work in harmony with farmers, reducing disputes.”

In a bid to promote national unity and civic responsibility, Mr Mwiru announced plans to introduce patriotism classes in every ward across the country.

“Courts, Parliament and all government institutions must be grounded in patriotism,” he stressed.

He also pledged to improve the welfare of public servants, including salary increases and re-engaging retirees in meaningful national roles.

“Retirees will be given opportunities to continue contributing, just like before,” he said.

Mr Mwiru commended the Tanzania Police Force for their dedication to maintaining peace and security, assuring continued support from his government.

“The police are doing a great job and we will continue to support them,” he added.

As the AAFP’s campaign kicks off, Mwiru’s message of patriotism, productivity and inclusive development sets the tone for what the party hopes will be a strong and competitive run in the upcoming General Election. The campaign is scheduled to reach other regions in the coming days.
