Africa-Press – Tanzania. Minister of Energy, Deogratius Ndejembi, today, November 20, 2025, was officially handed over the office by the former Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Energy, Dr. Doto Biteko, at the Ministry’s offices located in Mtumba, Dodoma Region. He expressed his gratitude to Hon. Biteko for his service and performance throughout his leadership.
Minister Ndejembi stated that during Biteko’s tenure, performance in the energy sector improved significantly, with enhanced service delivery and greater efficiency contributing to the sector’s growth.
He pledged to continue from where Biteko left off to ensure that the government’s goals and its vision for completing key projects by 2030 are fully achieved.
For his part, Dr. Biteko congratulated Deogratius Ndejembi on his appointment as Minister of Energy and assured him of his support at any time in advancing the major vision of the President of the United Republic of Tanzania, Dr. Samia Suluhu Hassan, in the energy sector.
“Among the many things I learned while serving in the Ministry of Energy, the greatest is my prayers for you as you carry out your daily duties,” said Biteko.
The handover ceremony was attended by the Deputy Minister of Energy, Salome Makamba; the Permanent Secretary of the Ministry of Energy, Engineer Felchesmi Mramba; and senior leaders from the Ministry of Energy.
