Africa-Press – Tanzania. THE Attorney General, Hamza Johari, has urged residents of Dar es Salaam Region to take full advantage of free legal advisory services at the Legal Clinic to be held at Mnazi Mmoja Grounds from February 16 to 22, 2026.
Speaking to journalists about the launch of Regional and District Legal Advisory Committees alongside the Legal Clinic, Johari said the main goal of the clinics is to bring legal services closer to the people, enabling them to access legal advice and assistance easily and promptly.
The chief guest at the launch is expected to be Dar es Salaam Regional Commissioner, Albert Chalamila.
Regarding the Legal Advisory Committees, Johari explained that they were established to provide legal guidance to citizens, public servants, and leaders, and to help resolve legal challenges at the regional and district levels.
He added that the committees will also help reduce conflicts involving the government, legal complaints, violations of laws and procedures, and provide legal education to the public, thereby increasing citizens’ awareness of their rights and responsibilities.
