AfricaPress-Tanzania: KOROGWE Town Council in its budget of the fiscal year 2021/22 plans to spend 20bn/- for the implementation of development projects, workers’ salaries and other council’s activities.

Korogwe Town Council Chairman Francis Komba said this during a one-day councillors’ meeting held at the weekend.

To ensure development projects are implemented in targeted areas, councillors have been advised to collaborate with council experts.

The advice was issued by Korogwe Township CCM Chairman Emmanuel Charles.

He said the experts during the past political campaign did a great job to ensure all development projects were completed on time.

“Surely, our experts did a great job during the campaigns. They made sure all development projects were completed on time as planned,” he said.

He added that the councillors must cooperate with them in the implementation of development projects.

He also urged them to ensure they met with villages and ward executive officers to organise public meetings in villages to inform villagers on how their money was spent.

On education he called for more efforts for better performance although for the past three years in the national examination results Korogwe Town Council shined in the 12 district councils in Tanga Region.

For his part, Town Council Executive Director Nicolaus Bei pledged to work on all that had been decided during the meeting.
