AfricaPress-Tanzania: The Tanzania Women Run 2021 Race scheduled for today in Dar es Salaam has been canceled.
The race was a special occasion to celebrate International Women’s Day, which takes place tomorrow Monday.
According to the race coordinator Pili Hussein, they have received information from police that the race will not take place for security reasons.
Hussein said they had received the report and slipped it and now they are looking at another date for the race, which is the first of its kind in the country.
He said once the new date is set, the organizers will contact the participants to provide them with the information.
He said many participants had already registered for the race.
