AfricaPress-Tanzania: LAWYER from South Africa, Sabelo Sibanda said they viewed Tanzania as a symbol of independence and a platform for African identity and claimed that he wished all African leaders to have a vision like President John Magufuli’s response to the Corona virus epidemic.

Speaking at a forum to discuss the importance of the African Union in addressing the challenges and opportunities posed by Covid -19 held today in Dar es Salaam, he said the African continent needed to find its own mechanism for dealing with Corona Virus and not the Health Organization World (WHO).

He said he wished all African leaders had the same vision as President John Magufuli to value internal efforts before finding a solution to their problems abroad.

He said Tanzania has come a long way in terms of direction and planning and is now delivering a positive message to the African continent that it can decide what to do and is not directed by any nation.

“Tomorrow’s Africa is being built today. There is no need for African nations and the world to say Tanzania because what Magufuli is doing is building Tanzania tomorrow by starting and setting those plans today,” said Advocate Sibanda.

Sibanda said the goal of the West was to see African nations being destroyed and that is why they set boundaries on the continent’s land to separate its people and prevent any attempt to make Africa one country.

“If you look at Tanzania right now it is a role model for Africa in valuing its resources ranging from mining, tourism, infrastructure and its people,” said Sibanda.
