AfricaPress-Tanzania: Sombre mood engulfed Zanzibar as a hearse carrying the body of the late President John Magufuli escorted by People’s Defence Force (TPDF) arrived at Abeid Amani Stadium.
The body of President John Magufuli arrived at the facility at approximately 11:05 am.
After landing at the Abeid Amani Karume Airport at 9:30 am, a multitude of Zanzibar residents accompanied the body by foot from the Airport to the stadium, almost 9.1km.
The Isles President Mwinyi will lead Zanzibaris to bid their last respects to the fallen hero.
