AfricaPress-Tanzania: THE late President John Magufuli has been honoured in Australia as a progressive leader, who always had the welfare of his people at his heart.
A message of condolence conveyed by the Australian-Tanzanian Services Foundation Incorporated (ATSFI) further noted the late President through his delegated government and public officers played a great role in raising the welfare of the citizens.
“We are grateful for the support that he provided to us through his Government and public officers and that ensured his work was successful…he will be greatly missed.
“We pray and hope that in his honour, other African leaders will take cue and continue with the fight to uphold the dignity and pride of Africa, at home and abroad,” read ATSFI’s statement jointly signed by the foundation’s chairman Vern Marshall and Dr Joseph Masika, who is a member of Management Committee.
ATSFI is an international Non-Governmental Orgaisation that supports social development programmes in Tanzania and in its message further extended condolences to the family of the late President Magufuli, Cabinet members and the general public.
Equally, it congratulated President Samia Suluhu Hassan for taking over the country’s leadership, saying they look forward to continue working with her government as was the case with the late Dr Magufuli.
“We wish you success in the journey that is now ahead and we are delighted with your ascension to the presidency and look forward to continuing the same productive and respectful relationship with the Tanzanian Government in our work.
“May God protect Her Excellency President Samia and all, both inside and outside the country, who work earnestly and conscientiously for the betterment of the people of the great nation
