Govt commits to broaden security

Africa-PressTanzania. THE government said Thursday is committed towards intensifying security operations to advance individuals and national economic interests.

Prime Minister, Kassim Majaliwa guaranteed in the Parliament during the direct questions to the premier the state will continue providing protection to the people and their properties.

Majaliwa’s remarks followed an impromptu question from Festo Sanga (Makete, CCM) who sought to know the intervention from the government on recent robbery incidents in Dares Salaam, Mwanza, Mbeya, Arusha and Dodoma regions.

“This also guarantees safety on businesses and other economic activities,” he told the lawmaking body.

The Premier commended the Police force for working hard to confront crimes. Majaliwa warned, however, culprits to immediately repent or risking facing the wrath of the law.

President Samia Suluhu Hassan, cautioned armed robbers in one of her recent address and directed security forces to take serious measures in curbing crimes in the country.

The PM urged Tanzanians to report to the police force all questionable incidents that could be associated with crimes.
