Africa-Press – Tanzania. THE government has started online application process trials for work permits as it seeks to troubleshoot problems that left expatriates and investors frustrated.
It also opened up similar procedures for residence permit to easy access of the crucial documents for foreigners.
Minister of State in the Prime Minister’s Office responsible for Policy, Parliamentary Affairs, Labour, Employment, Youth and the Disabled, Jenista Mhagama told the National Assembly in Dodoma on Tuesday “the trials begun since April 23, this year,” she said.
The new system, according to the minister is seeking to increase efficiency in handling relevant applications.
The minister is optimistic the new system will also help eliminate challenges foreigners faced to obtain such legal documents.
