Africa-Press – Tanzania. NEARLY 6,000 graduates have acquired work experiences under the government’s internship program that target to boost skills among the youth to compete in the job market.
More than 28, 900 others have received vocational training as part of the government strategy to address youth unemployment in the country, Deputy Minister of State Prime Minister’s Office responsible for People with Disabilities, Ummy Nderiananga told the National Assembly.
The Deputy Minister said the government is strategically formalizing skills acquired by youth outside the formal academic system to qualify the groups for available employments.
“We have also embarked on financing establishment of greenhouses and during the next fiscal year we will roll out the plan in 9 regions across Tanzania Mainland,” she said.
