Africa-PressTanzania. THE Disciplinary Committee of Simba said they expect to make final verdict about the alleged two indiscipline cases filed against their veteran midfielder Jonas Mkude today.

The renowned holding midfielder is again in the hot soup after allegedly committing other two indiscipline acts, which have prevented him from enjoying frequent game time at the club.

Commenting on this latest development in Dar es Salaam over the weekend, the committee’s Chairman Suleiman Kova said they expect to finalise the case today.

“We met on Saturday and got the opportunity to hear from different witnesses concerning the two indiscipline cases of which, the player himself has pleaded not guilty,” Kova said.

He then disclosed the two alleged cases as failure for Mkude to report to camp on May 18th this year, shortly after the team jetted back in Dar es Salaam from Johannesburg, South Africa, for the for the first leg battle of CAF Champions League, where Simba lost 4-0. The second charge was absence from attending training session on the same day.

“When the accused plead not guilty which is his right to do so, it becomes the duty of the committee to call witnesses before jumping into conclusion,” he said.

Mkude has lately become the common name at Simba’s disciplinary committee, as this is not the first time this season for him to be summoned on allegations of lack of discipline.

This has led him to miss several key matches of the season and he was also dropped from the recently named Taifa Stars squad which is in camp drilling for the upcoming international friendly match against Malawi on June 13th at the Benjamin Mkapa Stadium in Dar’ esSalaam.

Ugandan defensive midfielder, Thadeo Lwanga and hard fighting box to box midfielder Muzamiru Yassin has since been the mainstay at the heart of the midfield for Simba this season and Mkude’s gap is hardly felt by the reigning Mainland Premier League champions.

With seven matches to go before Simba complete their season’s league encounters, the club have intensified their hunt for the championship.

From 27 games, they have pocketed 67 points, to sit six points clear on the top of the table and remain solid on the good path to retain the prestigious silverware.

Winning the season’s premier league has always been the top agenda for Simba and if they succeed to achieve that, it will be a blessing for their Frenchman coach Didier Gomes Da Rosa to win a trophy with the Msimbazi Street based giants after joining them midway into the season.

Their traditional rivals sit distant second on 61 points from 29 outings, while Azam FC are placed third on 60 points from 30 matches
