Africa-Press – Tanzania. United States Ambassador to Tanzania, Donald Wright has promised to support Tanzania in fighting the global pandemic Coronavirus.
The diplomat made the statement shared through US Embassy’s twitter account Tuesday, a day after President Samia Suluhu said that over 100 Covid-19 patients were admitted to the country’s hospitals as she cautioned the public to be wary to take all necessary precautions.
At a meeting with editors held at the State House in Dar es Salaam on Monday, Her Excellency said that experts are working on the kind of vaccines, which the country can acquire and administer to the people through voluntary procedure.
“President @SuluhuSamia’s announcement that Tanzania is working to make COVID-19 vaccines available to all who want them is an important step that will help Tanzania and the world defeat COVID-19. The U.S. stands ready to assist,” Ambassador Wright tweeted.
