Africa-PressTanzania. SIMBA attacking midfielder Clatous Chama has forecasted a competitive 2021/22 Premier League season saying the ongoing player signings can speak volumes of the situation.

He said this recently from Zambia through a live Instagram chat where he connected with thousands of his fans responding to questions directed to him.

The locomotive player particularly singled out Azam as a team to watch next season insisting that they have signed top quality players capable to do a great job for them.

“Next season I think it’s going to be interesting and more competitive because I am looking at the ongoing signings from Azam who have made good signings.

“It will be nice to see that Azam are also competing for the trophy, not just have the league between Simba and Young Africans. This time around, they have made good signings and most of their players they have signed I know them.

“I think they will make a strong team. However, it’s not only about signings and this is where we need to be careful. You can make new signings but if the team does not unite, then there is a problem,” Chama said.

Responding to one of the questions put forward by his fans about if he is ready to leave Simba for another club, Chama replied that he can do so provided he is satisfied with the offer.

“If Louis Miquissone goes, then there is also maybe a chance for me to go. We have to put that in perspective and moving on comes with a lot of things which you cannot understand here on instagram.

“Obviously, you cannot let your best players leave but when time comes, we have to grow and accept the situations. So, if there is an offer which comes through Simba and they accept and I accept the terms and conditions, I would leave.

“If you take a look at my three years in Tanzania, I have done quite well for the team…am sure life being how it is, they also need to understand my part if I were asked to leave.

“The same with the fans, you also need to understand. It is obvious I would not leave so that the team gets spoiled, not at all. The team is always on top so if there is a chance for me to leave, we have to sit down, talk and see the best way to accomplish the deal,” Chama disclosed.

Meanwhile, Simba have completed their second signing in the ongoing transfer window after winning the signature of Kagera Sugar striker Yusuf Mhilu.

He scored nine goals last season at his former club and he has a big task to fight for playing time at Simba who are the defending champions of the Mainland Premier League.
