Africa-PressTanzania. POLISI Tanzania’s registration committee chairman, Twahil Njogi said his team’s utmost goal in 2021/2022 Premier League season is to claim one of the top three positions.

Njogi said that yesterday when outlining his team’s strategies ahead of the new season. Njogi said his team has started training session at Nyamagana and CCM Kirumba stadiums.

According to him, the team finished sixth in the Premier League a situation he said makes the team to aim higher than what it achieved last season.

He said they have pitched a camp in Mwanza due to its favourable climatic condition and the city is centre of many Lake Zone regions. He said that makes it easier to play build up matches against teams such as Mbao FC, Toto Africans, Biashara united, Kagera Sugar, Geita Gold and Biashara United.

They have managed to play one friendly match so far and they lost 2-1 to Mwanza Combine in the match staged at CCM Kirumba stadium over the weekend.

Njogi said their team had arrived with 24 players and 6 technical bench staff. He confirmed two players have not joined their team but they will join it at any time.

He named the missing players as goalkeeper Metacha Mnata and Striker Daruwesh Saliboko who was attending burial ceremony of his father in Kigoma while Mnata was with the national team; Taifa Stars.

Polisi Tanzania finished in sixth place last season. They won 10, drew 15 and lost 9 matches. They netted 29 and conceded 27 goals.
