Africa-PressTanzania. The number of people who have received the Janssen’s COVID-19 vaccine has risen to 345,000 in Tanzania an increase of more than 20,000 people in a week.

Chief Government Spokesperson, Gerson Msigwa said the figure was equivalent to 34 percent of the 1,058,400 Johnson & Johnson vaccines introduced on July 24 this year under the COVAX program.

Msigwa said the government intends to roll out the vaccine in rural areas. He says the government is considering increasing the number of health centers from the existing 500 to facilitate easy access to vaccination points.
