Africa-Press – Tanzania. ALL is well for the third edition of Diplomatic Golf tournament after the event received massive boost from Insignia Limited. The firm has injected 14.4m/- to support the big event.
The sponsorship that came under Galaxy Paints banner, is aimed to support the Diplomatic Charity Golf tournament scheduled to tee off this weekend at Kili Golf course in Arusha.
One of the event’s coordinator, Reinafrida Rwezaura said over the weekend after receiving the cheque that preparations are in full swing and thanked the new sponsor, Galaxy Paints for coming on board.
Rwezaura said: “ We want to extend our thanks to them for supporting us as we are heading to stage the event.The support will add value to the tournament that continues to gain momentum.”
She said that the proceedings of the two-day battle will go to vulnerable orphanage centres in Songea. The event will take place at Kilimanjaro Golf Wildlife Estate (Kiligolf) course at Usa River in Arusha region from September 24 to 25 and has drawn Diplomats, Chief Executive Officers (CEOs), and other golfers from different countries.
“We thank you very much for the donation and coming on board to join other sponsors for the event,” she added. As the event comes close, she called upon other firms to show up and support the event that attracts men and ladies golfers who will battle for the charity event.
Adam Kefa, who is the Marketing officer of Insignia Limited, said that his firm is obliged to support the needy community as part of their agenda. He also promised for a continued support, looking for a long partnership with the tournament organisers.
“Apart from doing business, we also give back to the community and this we believe it worth to support the event. “ We, therefore feel happy to do this through the golfing community “, said Kefa.
Apart from helping the needy community, the event is also aimed at promoting the sport as well fostering relationship among diplomatic golf players in the country.
More than 150 participants from different countries are expected to tee off in the event. Other event sponsors include Insignia Limited, Gran Melia, Crdb Bank Plc, Jibu Water and Lemala.
