Africa-PressTanzania. Airtel Tanzania has pledged to continue investing in network expansion as well as bringing services and products close to customers in both urban and rural areas.

This has been said by Airtel Masasi Sales Manager Boniphace Mango during the launch of its six Airtel money branches in Masasi District, Mtwara Region over the weekend.

“Airtel Tanzania is in a long term plan of promoting and upgrading its services to attract more customers and especially those living in rural areas,” he said.

He added, “We all understand the challenges facing people in rural areas and more on communication sector. Our goal is to do away with those challenges and make sure they enjoy communication services as free as their fellow counterparts in urban areas,”

He said Airtel has upgraded all its communication towers in the District to 4G giving customers and residents the freedom to communicate.

“Our Airtel 4G network comes with modern technology and fast and quick internet services. I use this opportunity to call all residents and customers in Masasi District to come and upgrade their SimCard to Airtel 4G network for free,” he said.

Airtel has also launched another five Airtel money branches within Masasi District and this one for today makes six of its kind within the district.

This is to make sure that our customers get services at their closest reach. Airtel Tanzania will continue investing in improving its services and products to match the daily digital life of our customers, Mango added.

Speaking on behalf of the Masasi District Commissioner, Efrosina Chikojo said the government is committed to supporting and safeguarding Airtel Tanzania investment in Masasi something which will the company continue investing heavily within the region.

“I have learned that Airtel Tanzania has been in the process of upgrading and promoting its services for better communication services and especially at the rural level,” she said.

She added, for big telecommunication services like Airtel Tanzania coming to invest so heavily like this in our District at his pleasure is something to appreciate. Ends
