Africa-PressTanzania. TANZANIAN envoys in CAF governed inter-club competitions need to improve the quality of playing and competitiveness if they want to clear their first round hurdles.

The envoys; Simba who are seeking CAF Champions League’s group stage ticket, Biashara United and Azam who are engaged in CAF Confederation Cup must put into consideration that nothing short of a hard work, extra use of skills and determination will see them achieve their goals.

From what we have seen our envoys in the opening matches of the Premier League, our envoys must double their efforts since they are facing a real tough challenge going ahead.

So vast riches are up for grabs, but the spin-offs of taking part in the CAF Champions League will not just boost coffers for the teams, but will also help the country to climb up and earn two more tickets in both the CAF Champions League and CAF Confederation Cup in 2021/22 season.

We would like to see our envoys get a global recognition, and that comes only if they excel in the continental level tournaments, a feat that will help them attract new fans, keep existing fans and make players enter global markets.

For Simba who are in the CAF Champions League not just once – and that is crucial – is a nice bonus, but on an on-going basis it provides the platform for creating and building and sustaining a business model that can generate a whole stream of benefits.

In Africa, The Champions League is a “commercial phenomenon, and a look at the upcoming fixtures will underline the gulf with the CAF Confederation Cup competition. And as well as appreciation of squad value and there is appreciation in the value of brand that would accompany Simba, Azam and Biashara United’s presence in the big continental level tournaments.

Turn of events and experience convince possible changes in 2021/22 season taking into consideration the overall performance of our all three envoys remaining on the race. We remind football governing bodies, teams and players featuring for the teams to be serious in preparation, skill building and team-work formation so that they become quality competitors and not just watchers of foreign teams.

Our players must be ready to challenge foreign players’ threat by demonstrating well their skills at both individual and teamwork basis. We would again insist the players engaged in this season to work hard for their teams and themselves as we have witnessed that football pays handsomely as an entertaining source of income.
