Africa-PressTanzania. THE Mara-based Premier League side, Biashara United are in the process of reviewing the present members to see if they can add the new ones in a bid to make the team strong.

That was revealed by the club’s Chairman Seleman Mataso during the team’s general election conducted over the weekend. “Our goal is to make sure we improve our team so that we can go further. We should come up with a better system so that we can increase a number of members in our club,” Mataso said.

On his side, the club’s Election Committee Chairman, John Manyama officially named Mataso as the chairman of the team after getting 54 votes, 5 no votes and one spoiled in the election attended by 60 voters. He also named Gabriel Ipyana as the club’s Vice Chairman.

55 members voted for Ipyana while two opposed him. He said the positions of Executive Committee members elected are Emmanuel Manase, Hawaiju Said, Mbaraka Forojo and Shomary Binda. He said the position required only four people.

One of the club’s members, Aman Josiah has urged the management to make sure they get back to the basics of football and know what football needs.

He said it was time for the team’s leaders to run their club in a good way.

The former Pamba and Biashara United coach, Josiah said their team should have plans to have its own stadium as well as be able to sell their products including jerseys. Musoma Municipal mayor, William Gumbo advised the team to amend its constitution so that more members can join it.
