Africa-PressTanzania. SPEAKER of the Na- tional Assembly Job Ndugai has made minor changes on the names of Members of Parliament who constitute the Parliamentary committees.

The minor changes have been made in accordance with the requirements of Rule 135 (3) – (5) June 2020 editions.

A statement released by the office of Speaker on Saturday stated that Mr Ndugai has moved Mr Humphrey Polepole to the Subsidiary Legislations Committee.

Prior to this move, Mr Polepole who is a nominated Member of Parliament, was a chairman of the Administration and Local Governments Affairs Committee.

The changes have also seen three former ministers whose appointments were recently revoked being assigned to different committees.

A nominated MP Dr Leonard Chamuriho and Dr Medard Kalemani have also been appointed to the Subsidiary Legislations Committee.

Speaker Ndugai has also appointed Dr Faustine Ndugulile to a Subsidiary Legislations Committee as well as the HIV and AIDS Committee.

While Dr Chamuriho was the Minister for Works and Transport, Dr Ngugulile was heading the Ministry of Communications and Information Technology whereas Dr Kalemani was the Minister for Energy.

Mr Ndugai has also appointed two MPs Asia Halamga and Agnes Marwa as members of the HIV/Aids Committee.

Other changes the Speaker made include transferring Godwin Kunambi from Foreign Affairs, Defence and Security Committee to the Land, Natural Resources and Tourism Committee.
