Africa-Press – Tanzania. THE Tanzania Chamber of Commerce, Industry and Agriculture (TCCIA) will participate in a three-day symposium to be held in Cairo, Egypt starting November 10, the TCCIA Managing Director, Ms Judith Karangi, announced here yesterday.
The meeting is known as Africa Union Private Sector Forum.
She said symposium forms showing Tanzanian products and services have been sent to all TCCIA offices countrywide appealing to producers to fill in the documents earlier to allow other procedures to proceed.
Ms Karagi noted that TCCIA will also dispatch the forms to other institutions so that they can be easily accessed by the producers.
“This is an important forum for us and the country in general…it is an opportunity for Tanzania private sector to make use of it in order to popularize the country’s products and put them at par with competitors elsewhere in Africa and outside Africa,” she explained.
She added that, the symposium will also help the country private sector to get news markets in other African countries. She also said participation in the forum will put Tanzania on the business world map.
Ms Karagi expressed gratitude to Prime Minister Kassim Majaliwa for organizing a meeting with private sector in Dodoma on October 4, this year, explaining that the meeting showed the importance of the private sector in taking part in Africa and international business and trade forums.
Ms Karangi, furthermore, appealed to small and large scale entrepreneurs to register with the TCCIA so that they can benefit from services offered under the umbrella of the chamber, which links producers to markets. She also said TCCIA has members with vast knowledge and experience in many fields, explaining that that knowledge and experience are put at the disposal of all other TCCIA members to benefit from. The symposium will end on November 12, this year.
