Africa-PressTanzania. YOUNG Africans said no injuries have been reported among players who were called to join their respective national teams during the recently played 2022 World Cup qualifiers.

The Jangwani street based outfits have officially regrouped preparing for their next NBC Premier League match against KMC on Tuesday next week at Majimaji Stadium in Songea, Ruvuma.

Hosts KMC opted to take the match to Songea saying they want to reach out football fans residing in areas since they don’t have Premier League representatives as one way to entice them to produce teams to aboard the top flight contest. KMC, the Kinondoni District giants are too sharpening their swords ready for the battle against Yanga as they are win-less from their two games, hence this forces them to give Yanga a hard time.

However, speaking yesterday in Dar es Salaam, Yanga’s Information Officer Hassan Bumbuli said the development that all their players are of good health is a boosting factor for them to generate positive results on the day.

“So far, each player in our squad is responding well to training programmes before our trip to Ruvuma whereby we expect to depart on Sunday fully prepared for the game. “Our intention is to get three points from KMC prior to the follow-up fixture against Azam at Sheikh Amri Abeid Stadium in Arusha,” Bumbuli said.

He then named Mapinduzi Balama and Yassin Mustapha who were sidelined from action for a long time due to injury to be fit such that they are undertaking normal training sessions with their teammates.

Also, Bumbuli said the club’s chairman Mshindo Msolla is progressing well with his familiarisation tour of visiting their fans in different areas across the country to brief them on how club transformation procedures are being implemented.

“What we request residents of Songea is that they should be well prepared to give their team massive reception and support throughout the period when the squad will be there,” he said.

From two matches played in the 2021/22 Premier League season, Yanga are second on the 16-team table with six points similar to the league leaders Polisi Tanzania who are placed at the top spot courtesy of goal average.

They produced a thin 1-0 victory in both matches against Kagera Sugar and Geita Gold a thing which prompted Head Coach Nasreddine Nabi to pledge to work on the goal scoring setback being experienced by his side.

Speaking recently after another 1-0 triumph in a friendly match against JKU, he urged his charges to take up all scoring opportunities they create during the competitive clashes in order to start recording more goals
