Mr Silinde gave the directives over the weekend when closing a two-day strategic meeting of the TSC executive secretaries as he insisted on the need of exercising professionalism among teachers.

“I have noted with concern that some of you have been asking for bribes from teachers so that they could get promoted, however, the sixth phase government under President Samia Suluhu Hassan will not tolerate such evil acts and we shall not hesitate to immediately take legal actions against whoever be found to have engaged in such acts,” he insisted.
