Africa-Press – Tanzania. IKULU, Controller and Auditor General (CAG) and Ministry of Works and Transport teams have qualified for the quarter final stage of the Inter- Ministerial (SHIMIWI) games in Morogoro.
The trio qualified after winning their yesterday matches whereas Ikulu team beat RAS Morogoro 46-17 in Netball, while CAG team defeated RAS Tanga 3-1 in football and the Ministry of Works and Transport women team won a tug of war game against Ministry of Agriculture.
Other teams that went through to last- eight stage in netball game Hazina, the Ministry of Works and Transport, Ministry of State in the President Office, Regional Administration and Local Government, the Ministry of Constitutional and Legal Affairs, CAG), Ministry of Education, Science, Technology and Vocational Training, Ministry of Arts, Culture and Sports.
In football, the qualified teams are the Ministry of Agriculture, Ministry of Energy , Ministry of Lands, Housing and Human Settlements Developments , the Ministry of State in the President Office, Regional Administration and Local Government, Ministry of Constitution and Legal Affairs, Ministry of Education, Science, Technology and Vocational Training and RAS Mara.
In the Tug of War for women, there are RAS Iringa, Prime Minister’s Office, Hazina, Ministry of Livestock, Judiciary Department, the Ministry of Internal Affairs and the Ministry of State in the President Office, Regional Administration and Local Government.
Tag of War for men has the Ministry of Works and Transport, Judicial Department, Ministry of Internal Affairs, and the Ministry of Tourism and Natural Resources.
Meanwhile, the quarter final stage games will start today when Ikulu will face the Ministry of Works and Transport in netball while Hazina will face the Ministry of State in President Office, Regional Administration and Local Government, CAG will face the Ministry of Constitutional and Legal Affairs and the Ministry of Arts, Culture and Sports will face Ministry of Education.
In the Tug of War for women, RAS Iringa will face the Ministry of Works and Transport, the Prime Minister Office will face Hazina, the Ministry of Livestock will face Judicial Department, the Ministry of State in the President Office, Regional Administration and Local Government will face Ministry of Internal Affairs.
