COVID-19 Pandemic
The country has recorded the fourth wave of COVID-19 infections driven by the Omicron variant and countrymen must continue to take all necessary precautions.
Inflation
Tanzania Inflations continue to be below 5 percent and in 2021 it reached as high as 4.1 per cent. The inflation rate was fueled by the coronavirus pandemic as well as high price of petroleum products at the international market. Peace and Security
The country continues to maintain peace and harmony. I thank Tanzanians for upholding peace and togetherness.
Foreign Currency
Currently, the country has maintained a stable account of more than a 6.25billion US dollars.
Census
2022 is the year for the national population census and I urge every individual to play part to ensure the exercise is conducted effectively.
