Africa-Press – Tanzania. POLICE in Kagera region are investing an incident where a motorcyclist was allegedly gunned down by a night watchman.
Kagera Regional Police Commander (RPC), Assistant Commissioner Awadhi Juma Awadhi identified the deceased as Eliud Kijaji (28), a resident of Muleba district’s Bunywagongo village.
He explained that Elizeus Gabriel, who was employed as a watchman by Panorama Security Company in Muleba district was helping police investigation adding that the incident happened on Monday night.
“We are still investigating the incident to establish the circumstances that led to the shooting,’ he said.
RPC Awadhi also appealed to people who walk in the streets late at night to cooperate with law enforcers on patrol to avoid unnecessary inconvenience.
