GWAMBINA head coach, Fulgence Novatus has warned Mawenzi Market of Morogoro to expect turbulence when they meet today in First Division League match at Gwambina Stadium in Misungwi.

Speaking about his team’s preparations, Novatus said his players are well-drilled and he is confident that they will work hard to ensure they win the match.

He said their target is to win their six remaining matches in the league.

After their match against Mawenzi Market, Gwambina will travel to Dar es Salaam to play Green Warriors and Transit camp at Uhuru stadium.

After that they will return to Mwanza to face their neighbours Pamba at Nyamagana. Their fixture also pits them Rhino Rangers at Gwambina complex in Misungwi.

The former Mbao FC, Toto Africans and Kimondo SC coach, Novatus said he was impressed with the way his team performed in the last three matches of the First Division League.

Gwambina FC beat Geita Gold 1-0 at Gwambina complex , they went on to win 2-0 against Gipco FC at Nyankumbu Girls Secondary school ground in Geita before claiming a 2-1 win over Tanga-based Sahare All-Stars at Gwambina arena.

Novatus, who played for Pamba SC and 977 KJ as defender, has called upon his team’s fans to continue supporting their team whenever they play at a home or away ground.

Novatus also commended the efforts shown by his players namely Yusuph Dunia, Arishy Kombo and Hussein Kasanga.

On his side, Gwambina FC midfielder Salim Sheshe said the FDL is very tough and highly competitive, but he promised to fight hard so that the team earns promotion to play in the Mainland Premier League next season.

Gwambina FC are now leading the group B table, they have played sixteen games and managed to collect 34 points, while Geita gold are placed second with 26 points and Arusha FC are placed third with 24 points.
