'One Computer Lab, One School’ project launched in Simanjiro

Africa-Press – Tanzania. MORE than 100 students at the at Naisinyai Secondary School in Simanjiro District, Manyara are set to benefit from ‘One Computer Lab, One School’ campaign under Tanzania Enlightenment Development Innovations (TEDI).

The campaign aimed at boosting the country’s education sector development through the use of Information Communication Technologies (ICT) in Tanzania whereas Naisinyai Secondary is among the project beneficiaries in Tanzania.

Speaking about the project and its benefits, TEDI’s Executive Director, Gloria Anderson clarified that the initiative will empower students on various ICT skills through friendly teaching modalities.

She added, since the intension is to enable students to start experiencing the use computers while at school, TEDI is prepared to ensure all Tanzania students benefit such a experiences.

Speaking at a project launching ceremony on Friday, Simanjiro District Commissioner Dr Suleiman Serera after launching the project advised teachers and students to engage effectively in the lab projects which he was optimistic that it would bring “technology revolution to Simanjiro people.”
